Description:

What if the energy around us also moved within us?

This project explores the invisible forces that connect nature and the self. Inspired by time spent in the forest, Liu questioned whether we ever truly stand apart from our surroundings, or whether we are always in quiet conversation with them. The magnetic field. The unseen current. The resonance that binds.

Beginning with a photograph of the forest, Liu printed the image, layered it with real flowers and branches, and wrapped it in cling film — a fragile membrane that both protects and distorts. The composition was scanned and printed on acetate, blurring the line between image and object, surface and depth. The process, guided by instinct, mirrors how we attempt to hold on to what is always shifting.
